so whats been going on?
First of all, i must say im really dissapointed in myself for not writing in this :/ buuuut i have a few weeks left in Buenos Aires and I want to make sure i dont regret anything :]
I have 2 weeks left of school eeeek!! i cant believe its almost over. i seriously cant wait . Im a little sick of it to be honest lol
Soooo i went to Chile and Uruguay! It was an awesome time. As much as i love Argentina, Chile was definitely a place i see myself going back to (and im forcing myself to come back to South America since i’ve already payed the ridiculous fees and i have 10 years to enjoy coming here without paying them).
Ill start off catching up the blog by talking about how i ended up inChilleeee!
So when i went to Mendoza (which was awesome by the way) i decided to go paragliding. it was ammaaazing. Im the type of person that can get on a rollercoaster and be like “ok that was fun. lets go to a bigger one, or a faster one” lol sooo you can imagine how excited i was to jump off of a cliff :] Anywho, no one was down to go paragliding with me :[ they all wanted to go horseback riding so i decided to go by myself & good thing I did because the other person that was doing it turned out to be an awesome guy from New York who is currently living in Santiago de Chile as an english teacher. We had a fun time paragliding and then afterwards we all met up with him because he wanted to watch the football game and one of the girls i was with has an NFL membership online lol (crazy sports fans).
So while i was paragliding with him he told me about Couchsurfing! Which i had NEVER heard about before. crazyyyy. so for those of you that dont know Couchsurfing is an online community where you can basically meet people from all around the world and stay on their couch! lol you dont have to pay anything and theyre happy to have you and show you around. Of course, im sure there is some dangers staying at a strangers house in a foreign country but when you see someones profile online, they have reviews and references so you dont stay with a complete wierdo who might end up doing all kinds of crazy things. I HIGHLY recommend you do it. You can be a host to someone if you have a couch available. It gives you an opportunity to travel in an affordable way :]
SO anyway…the guy i met (Jordan) is a host for couhcsurfing! so when we met up with him he told us all about it and then two weeks later we were in Chile crashing at his place! Lol it was a lot of fun having someone show us all the awesome places to eat, the beautiful places to see, telling us what drinks were the best…aaahhh. Chile was aweeesoooommeeeee….
Ok i actually need to finish my paper so ill continue this later…
